Suggest Remedy For Recurring Pain In The Left Temporal Lobe Area

I have been getting sharp shooting pains in my left temporal lobe area starting 2 and a half years ago and went to hospital took a CT and they found nothing wrong... Went to neurologists twice they keep telling me I have chronic migraines. I get regular dull headaches, frontal migraines and these unique sharp shooting pains in left side of head primarily and occasionally goes to the right side. I stopped seeing the neurologist because they never performed any other tests or gave me an MRI. What should I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
I appreciate your concern
this could be migraine or giant cell arteritis of temporal artery

if you can upload your complete medical history including your age sex and any history of drug abuse, I will be able to help you better

You should take anti inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen for pain relief

In my opinion you should again consult a good neurologist in your vicinity for the examination and a battery of tests for confirmation of diagnosis

Avoid smoking and alcohol
exercise regularly
have good balanced food
best wishes
