Suggest Remedy For Recurring Stabbing Pain In The Right Side Of Abdomen

Hi, I have had this pain along my while right side of my abdomen for almost a year now. It is like a stabbing aching pain. The pain starts about an inch above my umbilicus and about 2 to 3 inches to the right and radiates up sometimes all the way to my right breast bone. If I am laying in my left side or standing up, I can feel almost a sausage shape lump on my right side where the pain seems to originate above and to the right of my umbilicus. It does not bulge as a normal hernia would but It is hard and and sometimes when I put deep pressure on it, i feel like it pushes back into somewhere right under my right rib. I ve been to 3 doctors and none of them ever seem to take enough time to feel it and they don t push deep enough. They say it is trapped gas or muscular pain. I had a CT scan and a HIDA scan last year when this all began and they were negative. I have been researching and to me it sounds like a spigelian hernia. Is it possible the CT scan missed this since this lump goes away when I lay on my back? If I can get them to send me for another CT, or an MRI is it possible to lay on my left side during the scan since I can only feel the lump when lying on my left side and when standing? I d appreciate any input you might have. I am desperate for answers and no one has been able to help me and I am getting really depressed about having to deal with this pain just about everyday now. Thank you

Since you've already tried a lot of tests and medicines and nothing seems to help i have 2 suggestions for you.
1) next time the lump or pain shows up , have a friend make a video of how it behaves in real time and how it actually moves and how you push it back.
2) you can speak to your surgeon if an exploratory laparotomy(opening up your abdomen and seeing if anything can be spotted and fixed) might help you.
I find this answer helpful
