Suggest Remedy For Red Dots On Skin Due To Allergy From Sunscreen
I think i may have had a reaction to the spray sunscreen i used 4 months ago at the beach. It really burned my legs at the time and i noticed tiny red dots, like blood vessels all over my legs....will this go away or do i need to see my dermatologist?
Hi. As per your case history you are having allergic dermatitis. My treatment advice is - 1. Avoid using any new products like soap or perfume as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply a mild topical steroid cream like mometasone cream on the lesions twice daily. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine for itching. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
