Suggest Remedy For Red, Itchy, And Very Swollen Thigh Due To Horsefly Bite
Hi, I was bitten by a horse fly yesterday through my jammer ( tight swim suit that also covers the thigh-i m a competitive swimmer), and I guess I didn t notice it for a while since my jammer is so tight, and now almost my entire thigh is red, itchy, and very swollen. What should I do?

I have gone through your complaints and would recommend you to apply a steroid antibiotic cream like neosporin ointment and cortisone cream on the affected area twice daily for 5-7 days and take antihistaminic like tablet Cetrizine 10 mg twice daily.
If the reaction is severe take a short course of oral steroid like tablet prednisolone 20 mg once daily for 3-5 days.
