Suggest Remedy For Redness And Itching All Over The Body
I had an allergic reaction last night and my body turned red hot and itchy. I took two Benadryl last night that were expired by one year and this morning I bought fresh Benadryl and took one but I am still red. The redness went down a little but I am not sure if I need to go to the doctor or wait it out a little longer. I am able to breath just fine.
2. For a physical examination regarding the vitals and for any additional symptoms like swelling/bumps you should visit a doctor but otherwise following drugs will be sufficient to reduce itching: . Tab cetrizine 10 mg or tab allegra 180 mg [fexofenadine] once daily . Tab calmpose [mild tranquiliser] 5 mg at bed time till itching is reduced . apply calamine lotion locally. .. short acting steroid [5 mg thrice daily for 5 days]
3. At best, avoid scratching of the skin which may worsen the condition and may cause disruption of the skin leading to bacterial infection.
PS.If itching persists with time or worsens, or is associated with skin lesions, consulting a health-care professional is advisable
