Suggest Remedy For Redness And Rash On The Buttocks

I m a slightly overweight male, aged 28, I ve been working outdoors in the heat for a few weeks now, and during the course of this work I managed to spit the skin vertically near the very top of where my butt cheeks meet. Over the course of a few days the small area of redness has spread, and I now have what appears to be a rash surrounding the area, along with bumps. It is becoming painful, and I suspect the fact that I spend all day sweating has something to do with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello there,
Sweating continuously has made the area raw and hence made it split. You need to keep that area dry. Wear loose cotton underwear and if possible you can tie a cotton gauze pad on the red area to keep it dry. You can apply soframycin ointment on the area twice a day to keep the infection from spreading. Also have tablet levocet once a day at night to reduce the redness. you can also dust your body especially your back and the area around the rash with talc or clotrimazole talc that will keep that area dry and help prevent sweat from accumulating. If need be you can apply aloe gel to soothe the split area.

Hope this helps,
