Suggest Remedy For Redness In Eyes

I have had red-eyes for the past few months and have been using products such as clear eyes, visin, etc, which do work but only temporarily. Even in the morning it seems as if my eyes are worst then the night before even with a good nights sleep. Do you have any suggestions for me?

Hello,

The first suggestion is to stop the visine/clear eyes eye drops as they oy get the redness out of the eyes but ot the underlying eye problem. If your eye exam has been normal in the recent past then te redness in the eyes could be due to eye strain ( long hours in front of computer or reading for long ours). Tis causes istability in the tear film and cause eye strain and dry eyes. Avoid continuous work on computers by taking a break every 20 minutes for 20 seconds. Look elsewhere or close the eyes. Use lubricating eye drops such as Refresh tears eye drops, 1 drop 4 times a day.

Regards
