Suggest Remedy For Severe Abdominal Pain Due To UTI And Ovarian Cyst

So last night I went into the ER, thinking I had apendistis, they ran tests, X-rays, only to find that I have a UTI and really constipated, I took many laxatives, and now my colon is empty. They said that I might have an ovarian cyst. I still don t feel any better, very bad pains in my abdonomal area. What s you re suggestion?

Thank you for asking on HCM!

Based on your introduction, here are my recommendations for your Urinary Tract Infection (Acute Cystitis):
- Drink at least one large glass of liquid every hour.
- Avoid foods that irritate the bladder: caffeine, alcohol, tomatoes, citrus,
and spicy foods.
- Drink cranberry juice to help fight bladder infections. If you dislike the taste of plain cranberry juice, mix it 1:1 with another juice, such as orange juice.

The antibiotic that I would prescribe for you is Bactrim 960 mg one tablet twice daily for five days, and for the pain Pyridium 100mg three times daily for 1 to 2 days (this drug turns urine orange, but nothing to worry).

If the symptoms reoccur within 2 weeks of treatment I will suggest a urine culture and an abdominal ultrasound.

For diagnosis of ovarian cyst a gynecologic ultrasonography is needed to evaluate it. The treatment of an ovarian cyst depends upon its likely diagnosis and varies from observation and monitoring to surgical treatment.

Kindly rate my answer as helpful.
