Suggest Remedy For Severe Abdominal Pain During Periods

Hi, i am suffering from severe abdominal pain during period. But when i consulted a doctor, i was given medicine for gastric problem too..can you advice how to identify a menstrual pain or a gastric pain..also should i go for any other scan? I am unmarried and i am 24 yr old. Thanks
