Hi,
Escaping of gas from mouth on bending down as if picking something from floor, intermittent abdominal craps are not normal. The condition is called GERD that is gastro-esophageal reflux disease. This is due to lax / loose lower esophageal sphincter allowing the stomach contents to come up in
esophagus and above. The stomach contents cause irritation of throat and thus the coughing. The intermittent cramps indicate the possibility of sub-
acute intestinal obstruction, one of the reasons for GERD.
Hence I would advise you the following:
- Consult a general surgeon
- X-ray of abdomen in standing position when you have cramps can tell us a lot of about any intestinal obstruction like dilated loop of intestine or so
-
CT scan of abdomen with CT enteroclysis helps a lot further
- Upper GI endoscopy
- Relevant tests of blood
- All these will help to get an exact cause
- Initial treatment with
Domperidone and PPI like
Omeprazole can help you a lot
- Surgical intervention if the investigations are suggesting so
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
