Suggest Remedy For Severe Cough And Chest Infection

Hi I am 56y female. I have recently had quite a severe cough and chest infection, it has subsided a little in the past week or so, but whenever I cough, or should I say a few seconds after I cough, I get this terrible taste in my mouth, it tastes like what old flower water in vases smells like, thats the only way I can describe it, and believe me that aint my kind of drink! What could it be, and how could I get rid if it?

The taste you are describing is seen in anaerobic lung infection and in hyper acidity. In anaerobic infection due to purulent secretion in sputum taste very bad and foul smelling. I think you should under go chest x ray and rule out infection. You should also check your medicine list having metronidazole ,clindamycin or not. They are must for anaerobic infection. Metronidazole also gives bad taste as side effect.
