Suggest Remedy For Severe Earache Due To Inner Infection

Hi I saw my doctor nearly 48 hours ago with an ear complaint. He said the eardrum & canal is infected but it should pass. He advised me to go back if I started to have discharge coming out the ear & he d take a swap. Since then the pain has got unbareable however there is no discharge. I ve been regular taking paracetamol which takes the pain away briefly. It s at its worse when I m lying down and the pain is so bad I just can t sleep. I ve even tried co codomal and that hasn t helped take away the pain to sleep. It s just in my right ear and it s hard to close my mouth. What should I do?

Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having acute otitis media producing sever pain and discomfort.
You might require one course of antibiotic medicine for 5 days to clear infection.
After infection clears, you will feel better.
go for one course of anti-inflammatory medicine as well.
As you get problem for closing your mouth, there might be rare possibility of having some problem with your right TM joint.
consult your doctor and discuss about this.
