Hi,I am Raju.A.T (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
for over 3 weeks, its like I have a sleeping disease. I cant stop sleeping , its very hard to wake up. I go to bed at 10pm, wake up at 630am with my husband, go back to bed at 8am, sleep till 1pm and I have to fight real hard to wake up, then sometimes have a nap around 3pm till 530pm. I do have depression and I am on meds for that, but this sleep is totally unrelated.
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
Hypersomnia can be related to many medical conditions. One common cause can be being overweight or alcohol consumption. Another cause can be interrupted sleep over night or other neurological conditions. I suggest to continue using antidepressants that you mentioned in the query. They are very helpful in treating hypersomnia. If the symptoms continue, you should see a neurologist and get evaluated.
Hope my answer was helpful.
If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.
Kind regards!
