Suggest Remedy For Severe Pain Due To Tinnitus After Using Ear Tubes
Hi, my 54 year old daughter in law has problems with tinnitis. (Sounds like rushing water, swishes, and also heart beat in one ear. The other ear has pain. She went to her family Dr. and they sent her to a specialist because of the results on a ear test. Something about pressure being off. They did an MRI to check for anything in the neck area and all was o.k. The Dr. said ear tubes might help. She had them put in 4 days ago and the ear pain is worse and the tinnitis is much worse. She is taking advil round the clock. Her Dr. told her to get in touch in a week, to let the ears adjust. Right now she is ready to have the tubes out. Is it possible to remove tubes out this soon? I think it is driving her crazy.
Is there any impaired hearing? Possible causes are like eustachian tube block or serous otitis media or Meniere's disease or infections or drug side effects etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please get it done tympanogram and pure tone audiometry.
Use tablet gincobiloba twice a day for five days. If feeling dyscomfort you may get removed your tubes (gromet). Please review with reports or consult with your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
