Suggest Remedy For Severe Pain In Right Arm

I fell yesterday off a ladder & fell on my right arm and arm ... the pain is killing me.. went to clinic and he said he couldn't not see any fractures but possibly tendon tears near by shoulder ... he's sending me to an ortho... I am aware that exrays wont show nerve damage and beacause I cannot pick up my arm or rotate .. I feel I need an MRI Any suggestions
