Suggest Remedy For Severe Pain In The Heel Of The Foot
About 5 days ago, I started getting severe pain on the ball of my right foot. It is very hard to even walk. I work in retail (for 15 years) so I am on my feet about 6 hours a day. I do wear sneakers to work, but the pain won t go away. Should I go to a Podiatrist or is there any self help methods I can do at home?
After going through your problem in the question, I am of the opinion that you might be having an inflammation of the soft tissues around calcaneal spur (due to calcium deposit on the underside of the heel bone).
Use well-fitting shoes with shock-absorbent soles, rigid shanks, and supportive heel counters, warming up and doing stretching exercises before each activity; and pacing yourself during the activities. Take some NSAID pain killers like Ibuprofen for 1-2 weeks with PPI. Reduce the body weight if you are overweight. If not improved then you may have to consult an orthopedic surgeon for possible release of the soft tissue or removal of a spur.
I hope your query has been answered. Give your feedback if convinced. Regards
