Suggest Remedy For Severe Swelling After Skin Spot Removal

Hi, yesterday I had 3 skin spots removed from my shin, above knee and forearm. To keep the swelling down i wore a dvt pressure sock on my leg but took it off overnight. When I put it on this morning it went on the wound( still covered by bandage) and hurt for some time after. Fine now. Should I continue to wear this sock each day?at night? I have taken 2 doses of ibuprofen overnight to keep the swelling down. Pain is fine. I have genetic Lieberman factor V mutation which has caused no trouble.should I continue with the ibuprofen?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the scab removal does not pause a significant size swelling to be concerned of. Hence, it is likely that pre existing lesion shows up once the scab is removed. Genetic mutation of Factor V Laiden do pause major threat to enhanced activation of coagulation cascade. The control of coagulation parameters are must for the basic control of pathology.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
