Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello- I have been on several prescibed drugs- like- Carvedilol, Finasteride , tamsulosin, lexapro and simvastatin. I have been on these drugs for some time(years). I began to experience what I think was retrograde ejaculation. I became frustrated and abstained from trying to have an orgasm. Later, I tried and now it feels like i must try so hard and don t really have the full sensation of ejaculating--just a very mild feel of it, and of course -No ejaculate coming out. Is the only way to correct this by eliminating all the drugs that may cause this problem OR can another med be prescribed that might enable me to ejaculate properly and discharge sperm ?? Another drug maybe prescribe like either Levitra or Avanafil or tadalafil & dapoxetine ?? I am just guessing about adding on another drug to correct my problem. Any advice on how to possibly correct ?
You have tried many drugs and your condition did not improve. I think delayed ejaculation is mostly due to psychological stress. Please consult a psychologist or psychiatrist.
