Suggest Remedy For Sexual Health Problem

At the age of 74 and despite lack of any symptoms, a year ago I was diagnosed with atrial fibrilation and prescribed Warfarin. Prior to this my sex drive was normal and happy with my wife, but now find 'mind willing, body not'! Regular blodd tests are taken and the INR fluctuates to extremes. Can the warfarin be the cause of my impotence and if so, how can this be overcome?

Hello
Yes, warfarin may be responsible for ED. Though research is inconclusive. You should also get other vascular risk factors evaluated like atherosclerosis, high cholesterol, hypertension etc. You have developed ED immediately after AF so long of psychological factors may be working. These could be a possible cardiac event after sex . Even such a fear in your partner can cause ED. The main point is the exercise tolerance. If you can climb 2 flight of stairs in 20 seconds without much breathlessness, probably you are ready for sex. I suggest to get a TMT done, if it is normal, start with non demand intimacy ,proceeding to intercourse. You can try PDE5 inhibitor like 5 mg Tadalafil but it runs the risk of hypotension.so intrapenile injection may be a better choice.

Hi,Dear,Thanks for your query to HCM.
Dear I read your query and reviewed it with context to your query facts.
I understood your health concerns and feel Concerned about them.

Based on the facts of your query, you seem to suffer from-
Erectile Dysfunction with lack of libido from Warfarrin.
There are conflicting reports as to whether warfarin is primary cause for ED.I don't think that warfarrin is causing ED in your case ,as you were having normal sex life earlier to it.
Possibility is due to the anxiety which is causing ED. I would suggest you to consult psychiatrist, rather than trying Viagra-which is with risk for your age.
Hope this would resolve your health in the best way possible.
Welcome for any further query in this regard.

Good Day!!
