Suggest Remedy For Shoulder Pain And Severe Headaches After An Accident

In march I was in a MVA, I had a concussion and neck strain along with severe twitching in my right hand, mainly the middle finger, since then my finger has become partially paralyzed and my forearm left with a feeling of tired as if there is no blood going to it, my gains are always poking out now also as if in a tourniquet, severe head aches and major shoulder pain. The biggest issue is the fact that I know it sounds crazy but for almost two weeks now I have not been urinating, I mean it s as if I ONLY go when my bladder fills up so much it leaks out, almost like my body isn t telling me to use the toilet, the sensation just is NOT there any more, therefore I am urinating the bed. I see a chiropractic 3 days a week due to the MVA but I don t think it s targeting the REAL problem, HELP ME! It s to the point where I can t even hold things and I find that I trip a lot now when walking.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Following motor vehicle accident, there are various sequence of soft tissue and neurological injuries happened at the time of incidence. The shoulder pain is associated with possible ligament tear at the level of rotator cuff structures. The urination issue suggests incontinence which is following nerve injury or compression at spinal cord level which sends commanding signals to the urinary bladder and detrusor muscles along with external urinary sphincter. After a detailed neurological examination, I do recommend MRI of the spine region for best diagnosis and cure accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
