Narcolepsy is a condition with excessive day time sleepiness. It is usually a disorder of young onset i.e early years. It is unlikely you will be suffering from this disorder. The cause for your excessive sleepiness might be due to irregular sleeping patterns or stress. Even hypothyroidism is known to cause excessive spleeness. Hence get your thyroid hormones levels and also blood sugar levels checked. At the age of 63 you are advised to go for a whole body general health check up at a near by hospital which will include all these tests.
