I have a lump on my clavicle where it meets the sternum, on the left side. It s been slowly growing for several years. It is not painful or tender. It is about the size of a grape, it feels hard and bony, it does not move at all. I am 56, female, 85kgs, have Hashimoto s and have recently been diagnosed with SLE. What could this lump be?

Area around collar bone is common site of lymph node enlargement. It may be due to neck and throat infection. You may need ultrasound of neck region.Ultrasound is very helpful in assessing its origin and management. Treatment depend upon findings.Generally it is not a serious problem.
