Suggest Remedy For Small Dime Sized Spot With Itchiness On The Breast

I recently had a mammogram, it came back perfectly normal. Since then I have had a dime size place high on my breast that itches terribly. At first it looked like a mosquito bite, but now there is only a smooth red itchy place. Is there any connection to this and the mammogram?

Hi,

Severely pruriginous papule on the breast may be the lesion of prurigo nodularis. It is not related with cancer of breast. Psychological upsets might cause such lesions. In such cases, patient has excessive desire to scratch the lesion. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment.

Antihistaminics like Cetirizine tablet may be taken. Apply steroid cream on the lesion. Intradermal steroid injection may be considered.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
