Suggest Remedy For Sore Throat Noes Congestion With Phlegm
I have been sick for 3 wks now, it started with a sore throat, the next day sore throat was gone and major nose congestion and very tight cough. The mucus in my nose keeps going from yellow to green and now the phlem that I can get coughed up is yellow. It hurts to swallow deep in my throat, hurts in my neck and jaw but only on the left side. I have not had a fever, but have been very cold and then tend to get rather warm. I am extremely tired and almost feel like I cannot fuction at times. I have also had a lot of weezing. Should I go to the ER?
Sore throat, noes congestion with phlegm seems to be due to upper respiratory tract infection due to persistence of infection. Need not to worry as it happens in most of the cases. I would suggest you to consult a Pulmonologist and get evaluated and go for blood tests, throat swab culture and chest x ray to find out exact diagnosis and start treatment. You should take antibiotics such as Levofloxacin along with painkillers like tylenol. You should do warm saline gargles and avoid spicy and chilled foods. You should use mist humidifiers in room.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
