Hi my 13 year old daughter has been ill since friday 3 days. She has just got back from France the same night she had a sore throat. Now she has a cold, cough, fever , loss of appertite, dizzy and there is now blood on tissue when she wipes her nose?, up at 5.30 am to travel homeThe school group she was with just had sore throats but she was very tired when she got home .
Hello, thanks for posting your query here. Your daughter is suffering from flu. Bleeding from nose can happen due to nasal infection. Do not wipe the nose with dry tissue or towel. Wet wipes will be better. Apply some antibiotic cream(neosporin or bactroban) to inner part of nostrils, that will help to relieve the dryness. Use otrivin pediatric nasal decongestant drops, nurofen children syrup for fever. Also do consult a pediatrician if the symptoms do not improve.
