Suggest Remedy For Sore Throat With Post Nasal Drip

I had a cold, but I feel better from it now, except I have a soar throat, which I believe is post nasal drip. I started taking Musenx D yesterday and it helped with the sinus pressure, and cold symptoms, but but my throat is still really soar. Ibprohan is been helping, and I just started doing salt water gargeling. Is there anything else I can do to help the soar throat?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query sore throat with post nasal drip which is due to upper respiratory tract infection as post nasal drip is clear indication of infection. I would suggest you to take Anti-inflammatory medications such as Tylenol or Motrin may help reduce any infection. Gargle warm saline rinses as well as do betadine gargles. Visit ENT specialist once and get some routine blood investigation done. Go for proper examination and then start treatment accordingly. avoid cold carbonated beverages. You should take steam inhalation along with vaporizers. Avoid extreme spicy and salty food. Take diet rich in multivitamins. Take combination of antihistamine and oral antibiotic such as Bactoclav for 3 days.
