Suggest Remedy For Sore Throat

After oral sex 2 days ago with my boyfriend, I started getting fever, chills, and swollen tonsils, I bought lozenges thinking it would help. 2 days later my throat is so swollen I can t eat or talk. I haven t yet seen a Doctor, I ve suffered with swollen tonsils before but never this bad.

Hi,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
I had gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

This could be due to upper respiratory infection.
I recommend the following.
1) A course of antibiotics.
2) Analgesic like tablet paracetamol for pain relief.
3) Salt water gargling. Add a pinch of salt to a glass of water.
4) Local anesthetic based gargles can be used for effective relief of pain.
