Suggest Remedy For Soreness And Pain In Bumps In Head

I recently had surgery on my shoulder to have a plate and pins put in, the surgery was complicated and long resulting in considerable blood loss. I was taken to intensive care after the surgery due to the bloodloss and the fact i also have asthma. The following day i noticed to large bumps on the back of my head which were sore and painful. The doctors dismissed them but ever since the surgery these two areas on my head where the bumps were get really sore and painful. Any suggestions on what could of caused these? no-one else seems to have a answer for me.
