Suggest Remedy For Soreness In Knee While Bending

hi i hit my knee cap of a table a couple of months ago ,its not sore when i play sport,but its still very sore to touch and my knee feels quite tight when its bent .im a 35year old active male 6,2 and 16 stone,and have played football since i was very young.
