Suggest Remedy For Soreness In Rib

Hi. I had pleurisy a few years ago and it was traced back to the fact that a chiropractor made me wear a rib brace for a sprained rib. I am moving in a couple of weeks and my rib has been bothering me a lot. I was wondering if it would hurt (i.e. cause pleurisy again) if I wore the rib brace just for the day of the move.
