Suggest Remedy For Sores In Foot

my son is in bulgaria for a holiday and has just phoned to say his right foot is double the size sore and red he seeked medical advice and they gave him an antiseptic cream and said it would go away in a couple of days he is 6 foot 2 inch 11 stone and very worried could the sun have done this.
