I was eating with chopsticks earlier and I believe I got a splinter in my throat from them. It feels like something is poking and pricking my throat every time I swallow, liquids or solids. I ve tried coughing hard, drinking, eating rough things, and gargling, but nothing seem to help. What should I do?
Usually it is not the splinter but the injury from the stick itself which causes severe pain and swallowing difficulty. Stop doing all those absurd things you are doing to clear it, take pain killer and do warm saline gargles and give this a week it should be all right. If it doesn't relieve by the time then should see an ENT specialist.
