Suggest Remedy For Sprained Ankle And Numb Toes

hello, my daughter has a sprained ankle (30 hours) which caused mild swelling all the way down to her toes but no apparent bruising. She cannot walk on it, feels a lot of pain despite prescribed ibuprofen, and, now tells me that her toes feel numb. Should I wait and see how it progresses or worry about the new symptom?
