Hi..
Can understand your concern..
As per your complain squishy lump on the roof of mouth can be due to either an infected tooth leading to formation of a pus filled abscess in the roof of the mouth on near either left or right side .
It is soft in nature and can be painful and tender to touch..
In case you have an infected tooth it can be a
Dental Abscess..
Other reason can be that there are several minor salivary glands present in the roof of the mouth.Any disruption in the gland or its duct leads to formation of a small swelling filled with fluid and is known as "MUCOCELE"
It is formed due to spillage of mucous into the adjacent soft tissues.
I would suggest you to consult an oral pathologist and get evaluated for the exact nature of the lump..
In case it is due to infected tooth the treatment of the tooth by
Root canal treatment if the tooth can be saved or extraction if cant be saved followed by antibiotics and painkillers can be done.
In case it is mucocele, in case of small lumps they resolve themselves by rupturing and healing.
In case it does not resolve excision can be done or non invasive
laser technique can be applied.
Hope your query is solved..
