I'm a teacher, I do pronunciation and phonics it's a lot like speech therapy, but it involves lots of voiced sounds, lots of repeating, energy enthusiasm etc. I try not to strain, speak normaly in a normal register and I've been doing this for 6 years. Recently, my schedule has increased dramatically, and at the end of most days, my throat hurts, it's not sore or raspy, it feels like my whole neck is sore. if I press on my throat anywhere from under my jaw to my collar bone, pressure causes muscle pain. My vocal cords feel hot, obviously overuse. My question is, can you recomend a product that would cool the hot cords? There are a lot available commercially but I imagine there are a lot of quack remedys. What would you recommend as a long term course of treatment? Thanks
