Suggest Remedy For Sudden Dizziness While Treating Flu
mY GRANDAUGHTER OF 17 HAS ALL SYMTEMS sHE IS ON A MEDICATION THAT CAN CAUSE LOW bb aLSO SHE HAS HAD THE FLU i THINK THE BOTTOM NO WAS 40 dIDN T CATCH TOP SHE HAS BEEN COMPLANING OF DIZZYNESS AND FEELING LIKE SHE COULD PASS OUT. wE THOUGH IT WAS RELATED TO THE FLU. sHE DRANK SOME GATORAID AND PUKED A REALLY EXCESSIVE AMOUNT. I told her mother she should take her to the ER but she says she will wait till morning and check it then. Who is right me or her. and is there any serious damage as a result of this?diannestonfer @yahoo.com
Based on the history you have shared, if she is having low blood pressure with flu, she may need to be reviewed by her primary care physician and get baseline blood counts and CRP as well as chest X-ray tests to look for any signs of severe infection or sepsis. If not very high inflammatory markers, supportive treatment like acetaminophen alongwith anti histamines like cetrizine and drinking fluids and rest can be helpful.
