Suggest Remedy For Sun Burn

I went to Melbourne over the weekend and usually my face is quite clear however now it s extremely dry and it burns whenever i touch it. Almost feels like a sunburn but there is no sun there. And whenever i blow my nose it bleeds and it always feels swollen and full. Is something wrong?

Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

Seems to me as if the skin of face has got dry due to change in weather and is thereby getting irritated. I wont rule out sunburn either, if you had been outdoors for most time of the day. Sun or No sun makes no difference. You can have sunburn even on cloudy days, all that matters is UV Index on that particular day.

If I was the treating doctor I would suggest you to use a topical moderately potent topical steroid e.g fluticasone propionate cream, twice daily for a week.

Always use a broad spectrum sunscreen, that which offers both UV B as well as UV A protection, throughout the day, even when it is cloudy.

regards
