Suggest Remedy For Swelling And Bruising Of The Ankle

I recently rolled my ankle and landed on it. It swelled on and around my entire ankle. Now it's bruised. Today the bruise kind of itched. But when I rub my finger over the bruise it feels like there are a ton of little needles poking the bruise. or like the pokes you get from a fine needle cactus. I do have mild VonWilliebrands. Is this bruise just healing or should I go see my doctor?
