Suggest Remedy For Swelling And Bruising With Large Lump On Ankle After Being Hit

I was hit with a softball, traveling at a pretty good speed, on the inside of my ankle directly on the bone. It swelled instantly and there was pain which got much worse after I took my cleat off. There is swelling and bruising and a noticeable large red lump directly on the bone that I can't touch. I can walk on it though it is uncomfortable to do so. Is it just a bruise on the bone or should I have it x-rayed for possible fractures?
