Suggest Remedy For Swelling And Pain In Face After Popping The Acne

ok, im 22 in college. I had cystic acne. when i was about in 9th grade I got on Accutane. worked wonders. however, there Is this one spot on my left cheek towards the center, right at the edge of where i trim my beard that held puss from about 10th grade until about a month ago. had no idea it was puss on the inside, and never had any pain, nor did i know how much was actually inside bc you can barely see it. however i squeezed a bit more out of it last night and now my whole face is swollen on the left side and there is pain everywhere. not once did i fell pain before, even when popping it the first time.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of swelling and pain in face after popping the acne which is severest form of acne known as cystic acne. I would suggest you to exfoliate gently once or twice a day with a salicylic acid-based exfoliant. You should apply clindamycin and Isotretinoin on skin as well. You should apply benzoyl peroxide cream or gel for killing the bacteria in the pore. Wash your face using a mild soap or cleanser and lukewarm water . If condition doesn't improve in a week then consult dermatologist for proper diagnosis and can start treatment with chemical peeling and microabrasion.
