Suggest Remedy For Swelling And Redness In Penis Of A Child

My 6-year-old son s penis is swollen and red in a ring just below the head. The clinic is closed and we wondered if it would be OK to put triple antibiotic ointment containing topical analgesic to help give him some relief until we can take him to the clinic in the morning?

HI,

IT Seems to be swelling of foreskin of penis / philosophy. When retraction of foreskin is not possible, because tight foreskin skin. This condition needs circumcision and here the problem is recurrent. A solitary incidence suggests infection and inflammation.

To avoid daily cleaning with plain water is advised. At present application of antibiotic analgesic ointment can help done after washing with warm water. (till you see his doctor) Oral anti inflammatory like Ibugesic suspension (over the counter) 1.5 spoon after food can be added.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
