Suggest Remedy For Swelling And Soreness In Vaginal Opening

hi there i am expirencing what i believe is a yeast infection. i have never had one before so i am not sure if that is what it is. i am having pain and swelling at my vaginal opening and the skin in and around is raw. i was just on metronidazole vaginal 0.75% gel directions were one applicator full at bedtime for 5 nights. my GYN put me on this to treat what we believed at the time as a bacterial infection. can you please help me?
