Suggest Remedy For Swelling In Legs, Hands And Face Due To TSH

Sir, myself Sunita Agarwal , 42years old .

I am suffering from thyroid from last 1year . My problem was that my legs ,hand fingures, & face is swelling when my TSH is fluctuating near about 6 to 11 . My treatment is still going on according to my doctor I am taking Eltroxin (.50) .Now , at this time am feeling dryness in my throat . plz advise me what i have to do now....

Hello,
I read carefully your concern.
Even under treatment your TSH level is still high. It means that your thyroid is still underactive.
You should discuss with your treating physician to raise the dose of levothyroxine (if thee are no contraindications) and check the TSH after 6 weeks.
The symptoms of hypothyroidism will persist as long as the TSH is not within the normal ranges.
