Suggest Remedy For Swelling In Throat

Hello - 36 year old male, 224 lbs., 5ft. 9 in. Tall. Woke up with a swollen throat and big tongue after being outside all day working (and yelling a lot). Ate Cajun food, had 2 mixed drinks, was near a dog, and was around cigar smoke for a few hours that night (actually took some puffs which I know is bad). Still have a tickle in my throat and big tongue a week later.

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Throat swelling and difficulty in swallowing may be due to pharygitis or drug allergy or hypersensitiv reaction etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use water vapour inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days.

Avoid smoking and alcohol intake. Use tablet Pantoprazole before breakfast for one week.

If symptoms not improved please consult your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
