Suggest Remedy For Swelling, Itching And Discharge From Eye
Hi. I woke up yesterday morning and my left eye is very swollen and red. It was almost swelled shut. There was also a lot of crusty dried residue caking around my eye lids. The crusty was whitish. Through out the day, it stayed swollen and teared up quite a few times. All the tears was whitish or clear. The use of visine reduced some of the redness. This morning, it was the same but possibly more swollen. I applied warmth to it with little or no effect. Visine is not doing much for the redness today either. Should I go to the Dr. today or wait a day or two and see if it starts getting better? Symptoms; redness, excessive tears, swelling of the eyelids, itchiness, slight burning, dry feeling in eye.
Hello I share your concern Looking at your description this might be related inflammation of the eye. It.could be allergic or infective. Since I can't physically examine you to get more clues, so in my opinion you must immediately see a doctor for physical examination and further evaluation. You may require a antibacterial or anti allergic eye drops to be instilled 4 to 5 times a day. Meanwhile maintain good hygiene Don't touch your eyes with unwashed hands don't run your eyes You can wash it with cold water
Hope this helps you Best wishes
