Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain the symptoms seems like infection in the submandibular
salivary gland , although swelling and pain in the gland can be due to blockage of the duct of the gland due to formation of crystalline stones in the duct of gland from to minerals present in the saliva but pus discharge can occur in case of infection..
You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and cross sectional x-ray of the salivary gland or
MRI of the gland can help in confirming the diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
In case if there is infection antibiotics like
Augmentin and painkillers like
Ibuprofen can help..
Do cool compresses over the swelling..
In case if there is stone in the duct of the gland removal of the duct either manually or surgically can help..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
