Suggest Remedy For Swelling On Head After Ice Skating Injury

I went ice skating, I fell, I landed on my tushy and my upper torso fell backwards and I hit my head on the ice, I got up and went to lay down, then I went home. I didn t get dizzy, I could count backwards,i put ice on my head to get the swelling down and it went down, next day, I felt my throat which was tender, put ice bags on it, the swelling went down. I can walk with no problems, I can talk with no problems and I can type and read, and I am just resting, taking Tylenol. no more swelling on the head. oh yes, I am about 7 ft. tall and unfortunately, bumping my head happens once in a while too often as far as I am concerned, I hit my head on doorways, on beams in basements, people smack me on the head when I play ball. I am 70 years old and getting smacked on the head , has been happening to me for years. I have had ct. scans before, and nothing was ever found . so this time, I am just taking my time to see if anything develops past the ordinary.should I do anything different.

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The swelling over the forehead is because of the impact during trauma that produces inflamatory swelling which subsides in 1-2days. The other possible cause can be a fractured frontal bone. So consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. Mean while you can continue tylenol.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
