Suggest Remedy For Swelling On The Tongue After Taking Alcohol

Hello. I am on antibiotics and got drunk the other night. I puked 7 or 8 times and now my throat feels like there is a constant "lump". I am burping a lot but nothing seems to help it go away. It is not painful, but very uncomfortable. The back of my tongue is also very bumpy and looks swollen. Should I be worried? Or is my throat muscles just sore and need rest?
Thanks

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns... Hi

As per your complain alcohol and antibiotics can show negative interaction although it does not prevent the antibiotics from their antibacterial action and do not reduce their efficiency and activity but it can exaggerate the side effects of the antibiotics..
Continue burping can be leading to acid reflux from stomach to throat leading to bump formation as well as Inflammation and bumps on the back of tongue can be due to inflammation of circumvallete papilla...
Swollen tongue can be due to side effect or allergic reaction of the antibiotic which has further more exaggerated due to alcohol..
You should immediately consult an Emergency Room or your treating physician and get evaluated and treatment will be planned accordingly..

Hope this information helps..
