General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to formation of local haematoma. Applying ice pack will be helpful for this. You can apply 15 to 20 minutes off and on. This can be repeated 3 to 4 times daily. Over the counter analgesics like ibuprofen ( motrin ) will be helpful for relieving pain and inflammation also. If no improvement then approach your doctor. X ray will be required in such case to rule out any crack or fracture.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
