Suggest Remedy For Swollen And Itchy Welts On Skin

Hi I was working in my allotment today and was pulling out weeds. i noticed a stinging sensation and welts on my skin. The area is now swollen and itchy. I took clarityn a few hours ago but the itch and swelling is still there. Have you any advice? Miriam

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The swelling would be due to an allergic reaction to the either one of the plants or substance in the soil.

You may want to try another antihistamine to see if this would help eg benadryl.
In addition the use of a topical antihistamine may be helpful.
